What are the indications for the treatment?
Microneedle radiofrequency is a treatment whose main purpose is to improve the appearance of the skin. Because it effectively stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, it is used to address problems such as:

What are the effects of microneedle radiofrequency?
These are the effects you can expect after microneedle radiofrequency:

Microneedle radiofrequency is a treatment that should be performed as a course, with a minimum of 4 treatments at 4-week intervals. Results vary from person to person and depend mainly on individual circumstances. They may not be the same for every patient. The outcome is influenced by a number of factors, including genetics, age, health, lifestyle and following the aftercare instructions.
What does microneedle radiofrequency involve?
Microneedle radiofrequency can be performed without anaesthesia, as the needles are very thin and inserting them into the skin is almost painless.
Immediately before the treatment, the skin area is thoroughly disinfected. The skin is punctured with a matrix of microneedles to a depth of 0.2 to 3.5 mm.
At the same time, the device emits energy according to parameters selected individually for the patient. The tissues are heated in a controlled way, which triggers skin remodelling processes and the production of new collagen and elastin proteins.
The radiofrequency cartridges are single-use and replaced for each patient. The treatment is not only safe but, above all, effective.
The number of treatments is tailored individually to the patient's needs and skin concerns. Most commonly, a minimum of 4 treatments is performed at set intervals of about 3-4 weeks.
Why is Vivace unique?

Potential side effects and safety
Patients often ask about safety. Are there side effects after microneedle radiofrequency? The treatment is considered very safe, provided it is performed by qualified staff.
Possible temporary symptoms include:
Swelling and redness (erythema), usually subsiding within a day.
Skin tenderness in the treated area.
Microscopic scabs (rare, depending on the intensity of the parameters).
Modern devices use advanced safety systems (such as a mesh-design passive electrode in some bipolar systems, or needle insulation in Vivace), which means that micro-punctures combined with radiofrequency do not burn the epidermis and the energy goes exactly where it should. The risk of complications is minimised.
What are the aftercare recommendations?
The aftercare recommendations following microneedle radiofrequency (in Wrocław and other cities) include:
- protecting the skin with a sunscreen (SPF 50 recommended),
- for 3 days after the treatment, avoid saunas, swimming pools and hot baths,
- do not scratch the skin in the treated area,
- limit contact between animals and the irritated skin,
- avoid strongly exfoliating treatments (e.g. with AHA or BHA acids, microdermabrasion).
Are there any contraindications?
There are certain contraindications to microneedle radiofrequency. These include:
- haemophilia,
- retinoid therapy,
- active infection at the treatment site (bacterial, viral, fungal),
- inflammatory forms of acne,
- uncontrolled diabetes,
- systemic diseases,
- thrombosis,
- uncontrolled high or low blood pressure,
- cosmetic surgery performed less than a year ago,
- cancer or precancerous skin lesions,
- epilepsy,
- AIDS, HIV,
- a recent tan,
- a tendency to form keloids,
- metal implants in the treatment area,
- a pacemaker,
- sensory disturbances,
- a tattoo in the treatment area,
- pregnancy,
- breastfeeding.

Treating scars or reducing laxity is a process that takes time. Visible removal of imperfections is usually achieved with a course of 3-6 sessions. A series of treatments stimulates the skin most strongly, and the effects build up over time, giving a longer-lasting result.
Yes, pregnancy and breastfeeding are absolute contraindications to microneedle radiofrequency. Others include cancer, having a pacemaker and active inflammation of the skin.
The recovery period is short and much less troublesome than when an aggressive laser is used. Temporary vascular changes (redness) may appear, which resolve within a few days. Aftercare is key: intensive moisturising, avoiding the sun (SPF 50) and no make-up for 24h.
Combined therapies give very good results, but the plan must be drawn up by an expert. We usually do not perform them at the same visit as laser treatment, so as not to irritate the skin excessively. Properly planned hybrid treatments (e.g. with platelet-rich plasma or peptides) enhance the correction of aesthetic defects and speed up regeneration.
The cost of the therapy depends on the area (face, body) and the number of sessions. It is worth asking about packages, which make subsequent treatments better value.
The first tightening is visible 3-4 weeks after the treatment, but effective wrinkle reduction through neocollagenesis takes 3 to 6 months.
